Privacy
What we collect, why we collect it, and how to ask us to delete it.
Building Inspect is an Australian editorial site published at buildinginspect.com.au. This notice describes how we handle personal information. It is written for humans, not as a substitute for the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) or the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
Contact form. If you write to us through the contact page, we receive your name, email address, optional topic, and message. That information is forwarded to support@worldwidebacklinks.com so we can reply. We do not use the form to subscribe you to marketing.
Server and host logs. Our hosting provider may record IP addresses, user-agent strings and requested URLs in the ordinary course of serving the site and protecting it against abuse.
Keystatic. The content management interface at /keystatic is for editors. It is not a public account system.
We do not run a marketing pixel on this site. We do not sell mailing lists.
Why we collect it
- To answer correspondence, pitches and correction requests.
- To keep the site available and secure.
- To meet legal obligations if a request, complaint or claim requires us to retain a record.
Where it goes
Contact messages are delivered by email. Email is not a sealed envelope. Do not send identity documents, payment card numbers or other sensitive records through the form.
The site is hosted on infrastructure that may store logs outside Australia. If that is unacceptable for a particular message, write to us and ask for another channel.
How long we keep it
Correspondence is kept for as long as it is needed to deal with the enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards in case of a follow-up or dispute. Logs follow the host’s retention settings.
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete a contact-form message that is no longer needed. Use the contact form or email support@worldwidebacklinks.com. We may need to verify that the request comes from the person concerned.
Children
The site is written for adults buying and owning property. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this notice changes in a material way, we will update this page and the date in the site footer.
